Nancy Drew Season 2 + 3 Part  1

So two seasons on Nancy Drew went by in a flash. So many interesting challenges and wonderful experiences with a wonderful cast and crew and solid Executive leadership and support .. My depts were very strong in quality and performance and I was very lucky to have worked with them. The look of the show was well developed before I landed, by PD Mark White and then PD James Philpott so it was defined, beautiful and real. We took off right away with a lot of Covid 19 caused challenges, but it went well and we ended up with two seasons of cool sets and interesting script developments. Its a very well thought out story, with great Writers and Directors. Noga Landau (Exec Prod) who wrote the lion’s share, developed the show and was so kind and passionate about the project… Melinda Hsu Taylor, who Exec Prod and handled the show runner responsibilities, was constantly available, positive and answered almost instantly all questions… an amazing experience .. S. Lily Hui co-Executive Producer was remarkable, handling every aspect of the project in Vancouver, everyday for seemingly ever, budgets, crew, scripts, weather issues, Covid issues, etc .. nonstop .. Then there were the Executive/Producer Directors Larry Teng and Amanda Row , just amazing leadership and always available with support, advice and clarity .. Top of the line folks with the long view for Nancy Drew and her troop ..                The DOPs on Nancy Drew have been great to work with huge talent and inclusiveness we had the best lighting and grips, led by Shamus Whiting-Hewlett, Nick Thomas, Ryan Purcell, and Bruce Worall  … Thanks for the work …

Because of the amount of sets, and all the amazing work by Joanna Dunn Art Director, Carla Miranda Art Director, Jacqui Dudeck Art Director and Joe Cristello Set Dec and Bradley Babcock Assist Set Dec, I am only going to show a few of the larger build sets ..  Also thanks to our remarkable Construction Team headed by Rob Schwenk, Paint Dept lead Vince Procop, Props Dept Props Master Tom Baleshta, Greens Dept head Darren Moore, Costume Dept designer Kerry Weinrauch. These folks mentioned were and are extremely talented, and the show’s look owes so much to their innate abilities and dedication .. Locations Dept had the best folks, and we had very wonderful locations to do what we needed to do ..
